𖡙 ⎯⎯⎯⎯ 𝓞.NE ≀ WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF AN AUTHOR WANTS ME TO TAG❔
This means that the author wants you to share their book with other users. For most people, it's hard to find people to apply, which forces them to ask people to tag other users. If you're asked to tag, just comment with the @ sign and write in the usernames of your friends or users from your followers/following list. This lets the users find the author's af and if they're interested, they can apply too!

PLEASE DO NOT tag people that don't want you to. If they've deliberately told you not to tag them, or if they've said in their bio/carrd or something that they don't want to be tagged in afs, DON'T DO IT. It's high-key rude. In addition, if you have no one to tag, DO NOT TAG RANDOM USERS. It could be viewed as a bit weird and annoying. If it's your first applyfic and the author, at least follow the people you're tagging, and maybe write a note about it as well.

⩇⩇ WHERE YOU MIGHT FIND A TAGGING INVITATION:

   ≀ This is really the only place I've seen tags, other than the rules chapter, but it might be in a different place since each author is different! The only other place that you might find is is in the form.

   ≀ Really, I feel like it's okay to tag anywhere in the chapter, but personally, I think it looks best when you comment inline with where the author meant for the tags to go.
